What’s on in Neston

Saturday 16th March

Neston and District Christian Aid Committee’s first event in 2019 will be the traditional sponsored walk. The walk leaves the URC Hall at 9am. Walkers go along the Wirral Way, and across the golf course to Gayton, where refreshments are served. They return along the edge of the Dee marshes to the old baths, Parkgate, then back along the Wirral Way. At the URC hall, home-made soup and bread are served. Sponsorship forms can be got from the Christian Aid representatives of local churches, or from Lynne Vaughan, 0151 336 8920.

 

Thursday 21st March

The next meeting of Neston Civic Society is an illustrated talk by Ken Pye – ‘The Story of Wirral  – a ride through the history of this Wonderful Peninsula.’, 7.30pm at the URC Church Hall, Moorside Lane, Parkgate. Saturday 30th March

The next showing at Neston Flicks is ‘First Man’, the story of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. It is on from 7pm at Neston Civic Hall. To find out more call 0151 336 7805, or go to www.nestoncyc.org.uk

 

Friday 12th April 

Hadlow Green Singers present Vivaldi Gloria. Starting at 8pm in Willaston Christ Church, the concert will also include pieces by John Rutter and will feature our guest soloists, Alexandra Worthington and Anna Saunders. Check out our Facebook page for more information.
